Coaches & Tours

The Swan at Stoford is just 10 minutes’ drive from World Heritage site of Stonehenge and has traded in Stoford since 1740. With Salisbury City Centre nearby with its historical cathedral and many interesting buildings and shops, Wilton House close by and 20 minutes’ drive from Longleat House & Safari Park, the inn is perfect for a coach stop (see map below). We are also conveniently situated on the A36 on route to Bath/Bristol and not far from the A303.

We can cater for small groups and large parties, we can develop a menu to suit and have experience in meeting tight turnaround times. Whether you want a three course meal or a quick one course, we are flexible to meet your needs. We have ample free parking for coaches and have experience of working with some of the large coach operators, as well as independent companies or smaller groups. Our staff are trained, experienced and friendly. Coach drivers and tour guides eat for free when they bring a coach party of 10 or more to us.

As well as being perfect for coach stops, the Swan is great for groups of ramblers, being situated by part of the Monarch’s Way, the route taken by King Charles II in 1651 as he fled the country, and close to the pretty Grovely Woods or nice riverside walks. You can even take the Swan Hospitality Challenge –walk from the Swan at Stoford to the Stonehenge Inn & Carvery across country or vice versa.

We are also popular with cyclists being close to Route 24 of the National Cycle Network and having plenty of storage space. You can see the route by following the link
