Review The Swan@Stoford on TripAdvisor American Express Cards Welcome

Eat at The Swan @ Stoford

“Wherever possible, the food, including handmade sausages, Wiltshire cured ham, award winning cheeses and home baked breads, is sourced locally to help support local businesses. It all adds up to an imaginative menu, a delicious combination of simplicity and decadence. It isn’t short on imagination either – take for example, the dandelion and burdock trifle and the local farm faggots with onion gravy.” - Review for The Travel Editor – December 2009.

Our tasty menu changes with and reflects the seasons and our ethos at The Swan@Stoford is to endeavour to utilize only the finest seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers: “locally sourced – globally inspired”

We are open daily and serve food:
Monday – Thursday: 8.30am to 2.30pm, 5.30pm to 9.00pm
Friday: 8.30am to 2.30pm, 5.30pm to 9.30pm
Saturday: 9.00am through the day to 9.30pm
Sunday: 9.00am through the day to 8.30pm

Our chicken, sourced from Creedy Carver in Devon, and eggs are all free range. All meat is sourced from Walter Rose & Son, Devizes, who breed their own cattle, lamb and pigs. This way we can confidently serve you great tasting food knowing exactly where the meat comes from and how the animals have been reared. Award winning cheeses reach us from the New Forest & Hampshire. Game comes from the local shoots that take place nearby. Indeed, so keen are we to keep it local, we even purchase excess vegetables that individual growers may have from their allotments!

This way we save on ‘food miles’, support the environment as well as local businesses and their staff – our own version of fair-trade if you like. We have carefully selected a varied menu to cater for all tastes and budgets which leads us to be one of the most popular venues in the area.

Our Bar offers everything a traditional bar should. With exposed beams and log fire it’s the perfect place for a pint of local cask ale and handmade pork pie or local cheese ploughman’s. Our 45-Bin wine selection – all available by the glass – and full range of soft drinks can be enjoyed here as well. Dogs on a lead are welcome in this area as well. “Amazing wine menu; outstanding service and beautiful place. We’ll be back!” Salter family

Our Garden Room has been designed to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. With French doors leading out to the garden this room is perfect for a romantic table for two or for groups of up to 8 people.

The Wylye Room is the ideal place for families to come to eat. It is light and spacious, can cater for up to 50 people and it’s where our traditional Skittle Alley is located. Also, it’s a great place for a family reunion or celebration – see our functions page for more details.

“I thought I would send you a quick thank you for yesterday’s Sunday lunch in the function room. We all thoroughly enjoyed the venue and the facilities in your function room enabled us (especially the children) to enjoy the day without being a pain to your other guests. I would add that all the food was excellent and the service provided by your staff was by far the best I have had over many years. Always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. It made our day a complete success and an old lady very happy on her 90th birthday”
