The
Game Bar
is the
Swan's public bar, where locals, tourists and day trippers alike take
refreshment. With its dark oak beams and polished tables it's
little changed from when the inn was built in the first half of the
last century.
We
serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the bar

Real
Ale
Real
Ale, that is beer that is not pasteurised but the yeast allowed
to produce the head while in the barrel ('self-conditioning') has
become popular again after almost becoming extinct in the 1970s.
This is largely due to consumer organisations such as Camra
(the Campaign for Real Ale).
We
are delighted to stock a number of such brews, including our own Swan
Best Bitter, all produced by local breweries. In addition to our
three regular ales, listed below, we regularly carry guest beers - contact
us for details of our current selection.
