The
Swan Inn
| Our
building was built
over 150 years ago as a Coaching Inn - a watering and feeding
stop for the horses, drivers and passengers of the coaches traveling
between Salisbury and Bath. The old beams in The Game
Bar, our traditional English village public bar, shows it
hasn't changed much since then, but the stables have made way
for the
Skittle Alley, and the inn's lodging rooms have been brought
up to date as our En
Suite Accommodation In
addition, we now have the Cygnet Restaurant that would put to shame the basic
fare that fed the traveler of yesteryear... |

Around
Stoford
 |
Bordering
our River Gardens is our
own stretch of the river Wylye. This is free for residents
to fish, and there is an abundance of lakes and rivers in the area,
which can be fished at an extra charge, by arrangement.
A
short walk through our neighbouring village Great Wishford leads you
up to Grovely Woods, which is a great place to walk or cycle.

|
| Stonehenge
is nearby and also Salisbury Cathedral is well worth a
visit. In fact there are many interesting places to visit in
and around the Salisbury area. |
